Ran Online Levelling Guide

Filed under: RAN Online — melfabro @ 8:33 am

Ran Online Levelling Guide

Levels 1-30*

1.When you are new in RAN Online… DO NOT CREATE A CHARACTER FIRST. Think which class you will choose.

2.Sacrifice your 20 Peso to Buy 20 EP Card and load up…Buy your (1Day) +7 {Class Weapon of Choice} which costs 5 EP and the HP Recovery Potion 100 PCS which costs 15 EP

3.Look for the Calendar in http://www.ranonline.com.ph and find the best schedule for x2/x3 EVENTS

4.Now Create your character and login.

5.When you are in the game… Try opening your inventory… you will see a (7HRS) Resu Training Roasry. This will help you level up becuase of its x2 EXP effect.(Note: if you keep begging to get gold from high level players… YOU WILL PAY THE PRICE which is your roasry will EXPIRE)

6.Dont Try to take the quests…. Leave it alone and do it later… The rosary’s duration is already active once you created your character.

7.Monsters to kill:

1-15 – Hooligans , Bandits
20-25 – Fencers , Street Junkies , Sluggers
25-30 – Slashers , JR. Brawlers , Brawlers , Maulers

Once Power leveling is over and you ran out of supplies…. you can see your gold high enough to buy scrolls and armors… try not to buy Freshmen and Sophomore Sets… ITS A WASTE OF GOLD… BUY THE JUNIOR SET INSTEAD… Now you can finish your quests peacefully and fast.

Levels 30-50*

If you did the steps from above quickly… I congratulate you ^_^ But if your rosary , 1 Day Weapon , and POTS are gone…. Here are the next steps:

Plan A:(Dont use this plan if there are no x2 EVENTS)

1.Continue Leveling in the area by Buying 1Day +7 EP Weapon (5 EP) and A 1HR Rosary (12 EP) or if your Loaded with cash… Try to buy a 5HR Rosary (37 EP) and more POTS (15 EP).Now buy NPC Armors next to add Defence.

2.Monsters to kill once you are ready to battle:

30-40 – Maulers , Crooks , Onslaughts , Punks , Renegades
40-50 – If you can beat ONSLAUGHTS fast enough… try completing the
“Heading Outside Campus Quest”

– Blood Drinkers , Swordee Ardee , Uncle Potato , Fiery Chiefs , Chickens , Cordys , Stray Dogs

Plan B:(Money maker guide)

1.Buy a 50 EP Card and load up….

2.Buy the business card 7Days (20 EP) and buy megaphone(20) (10 EP)… try to buy 3 sets of megaphone(20)

3.Go to Marktet Place (Channel 1 is the most common spot) and get first the 3 sets of megaphones.

4.Find a slot full of people and get the business card 7D quickly

5.Open a personal market and sell the 3 sets of megaphones at least 5,000-30,000 Gold Price and Wait.

6.If items are sold out… you can make at least 1m-2m. Now buy your weapon , armor , and supplies.

7.Proceed to Plan A

Levels 50-Above*

Here is where you put your skills to use…. Try finding a party spot and ask them if they are full…. If you have joined successfully , try to obey their instructions and make sure you dont FAST KILL. (Joining a party with a rosary on and a x2/x3 EVENT activated can be a pleasure in the butt.)

-Factors affecting leveling of party groups:

1.The composition of the members and the leader. (Shamans and TQ’ers are the most needed in parties right?)

2.Great Leadership and command. (Ex: 1st Order – LURE / 2nd Order – BACK / 3rd Order – KILL)

3.Make sure there is no lvl gap number at least 20 or above.

4.Great obedience of members which makes STEP 2 much effective.

5.Always be active. If you try to leech , the price would be REPLACEMENT.

==============================

If your level 40-50 & you have party the good spot for levelling is @ the construction site (im sorry im an sg student) mobs to be killed: construction fatty, fatty boom boom, & (forgot the name of that mobs throwing knives is what he do) in that area it gives good exp…

upon reaching level 51-60 try killing the freezing hallogens & werewolves and the clowns…

60-65,66 or 67 try killing jackson, clowns, bomber clowns & sg defender in the party it will give also good exp… if your 67 or 68 isabay mo na yung quest sa special agent standing at the entrance of leonine campus para matapos mo ung quest at pwede ka na pumasok sa leonine capus (kill 20 sg defender/30mins- bawal madedz. ulit ka pag nadedz)

pag level 67-75 ka na sa leonine campus ka sa may sports field ng leonine spot, mobs to be killed are mummy & tomb raider, poison ivy.

level 75 (forgot the exact level) pwd na pumasok sa leonine 1f get the quest from banshee para makapasok sa 1f ng leonine…. (screw the trading hole mas masarap magpalevel sa leonine sa ganyan level) saka ka na pumunta th pag balak mo na pumunta cp1 or 2 or wharf….

pag pwd ka sa loob ng leonine 1f level 75-80 theres 5 great spot 2 at the back 1 to left side 1 to right side and 1 at the front janitor is very agressive so its not hard to lure, ung archer agre rin at ung boy lang ang kailangan mo ihit para malure mo tsaka ung fencer na lalaki (kalimutan ko ulit ung name ng mobs na un)…

(be serious hehehe!!!)….

mobs to be killed: fisherman; loose haloogens; bandit; security guards(?);sailor; (ung kamukha nung welder na mobs sa phx);

======================================

117-HO1f
120-HO2f
125->134 HO3
135-145- prison
145+ – middle hole

Power Brawler Leveling Guide

Filed under: RAN Online — melfabro @ 1:15 am

Power Brawler Leveling Guide

Tips:

lvl 1-15 little hooligans

lvl 15-20+ hooligans and bandits(while pursuing the nurse quest[cigarette butts])

lvl 20-30+ street junkies(while pursuing the nurse quest[stolen bandages])

lvl 58-68 go for the Construction Fatty. A good spot is at C4 construction site (SG) or if at other campuses just head outside the perimeter of the school zone

lvl 69-74 go for the freezing halogen (assuming you have a party because their ice attack really bites.. ouch! hehehe!) OR clowns/SGDs

lvl 75-80 Leonair would be a good spot, outside Leonair is good enough

lvl 81-89 Leonair’s 1st floor and 2nd floor

===========================================================

Side kick : 4
spinning kick : 4
Chain kick : 2
Sonic slash: 2
Power Kick: 9 (Master) “The best to,Pamatay ng brawlers”
Makaze Kick: 9 (Master) “LONG-ATTACK ng brawly kasi to!! ANTI-VACUUM or Other Long Range skills!! at ang isa pang best na tactics ko d2 sa makaze kick skill is ung HIT & RUN
Makaze Kick “bloog” tapos takbo cooldown makaze nanman
Angkle Crush: 9 (Master) the best pam 1 SHOT talagah to!!

Elbow Crush: 4 “kinuha ko to kc requirement sa power up
Power Up: 9 (Master) ” increase the rate of your Atk”
Blood Lust: 9 (master “increase the rate of all your Party Members Atk)

===========================================================

Wow atlast POW TYPE Brawler Guide…Hi Blaq, husband to ni brean..hehe

For me da best ang Pow Type build pag higher level na kasi doon mo na ma eenjoy yung mga da best na skilss like Tornado Kick, Makaze, Ankle crush at upper Jab..

My best combination during PK and duels since 100+ pa lng ako;

1.) Apply Buffs – Concentration or Evasion

Just my 2 cents….

One more advise pag nasa party wag mag lulure pag walang buff like TQ, EC, at CS dahil sa sobrang lambot natin isang hit ka lng ng fisherman deds ka hehehe…

Always carry MP ung pinaka maliit lng kasi maliit lng MP natin…SP is optional kung mag sosolo ka tska mo lng kailangan kasi may buff naman ang shaman na SP..Bring a lot of HP…Wag umasa sa shaman dahil cgurado dafa kayo…hehehe

Another Pow Archer Guide

Filed under: RAN Online — melfabro @ 8:25 pm
INTRODUCTION

Archers trained in the art of power are one of the most scarcely populated warriors in the world of RAN, and it is much to our regret that power archers are regarded by some inexperienced players as, ironically, powerless. Yet, as I said in my other posts, “DO NOT UNDERSTIMATE POWER ARCHERS”, and as such, I would like to present possible builds regarding the power archers so that people may understand further.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

1) Power archers’ techniques are generally SLOW. Most skills, with the exception of Amazon Fury, need charging and take at least 3 seconds to cast. Skills also take long to cool down.
2) They deal HIGHER DAMAGES compared to other archer types, even when using low level skils such as Arrow Assault. As low as level 107, equipped with a very good bow, even with slow casting, they are PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF A 1-HIT KILL in PK. In short, one hit wonder!
3) Compared to other archer skills, the power skill tree boasts of the LONGEST SKILL RANGE in the game, hence, power archers, in my opinion, one of the most proficient missilers of ran online.
4) Power archers DO NOT RELY ON DAMAGE ALONE. Hunter snare is one of the best skills a power archer can have. While the target is running away, the power archer can stop the enemy. This one of the few skills that can slow down a character using Lightspeed or Massive Haste.
5) Perhaps, one of the most annoying things with the power skill tree is some skills are needed to be mastered to master higher skills. Sa tagalog, MASAYANG SA SKILL POINTS.
CAUTION: To master Bow Mastery, master Force Shot first; to master Armor Piercing Shot, master Bow Strike First.
6) As with all archer classes, the power archer has LOW HP even at high levels. Also, without excellent armors, power archers (and also int archers) have low defense, so they can also easily get killed.
7) Putting these together, the power archer has low chance of winning duels against faster attacking builds and classes. However, they are good player killers given the chance to strike.

GENERAL BUILDS

I think that these two of the many possible builds are suitable. However, this must not mean that this is 100% correct =). There are many more possibilities that might be better than the ones I will present below. Feel free to try on other possibilities.

Pure Power, Pure Damage Build
This is my current character build im working on. Good for PK.

STATS

Pow – at least 352 (pre req for Genie Bow, or if u want anger shot, something higher than this)
Vit – INVEST IT HERE (HP better since we only get 2 def/ 25 dex, and 25 dex = more or less 7 levels)

SKILLS

Force Shot – MASTER (needed to master Bow mastery)
Bow Strike – LEVEL 7 (prerequisite for level 3 Armor Piercing)
Armor Piercing Shot – LEVEL 3 (prerequisite for Enhanced Force Shot)
Bow Mastery – MASTER (+10% DAMAGE)
Amazon Fury – OPTIONAL, KEEP IT AT LEVEL 1 (shockwave and arrow assault can also be good skill cancellers even at PK)
Enhanced Force Shot – LEVEL 2 (prerequisite for Tiger’s Rage; strongest skill before 107)
Hunter Snare – MASTER (7 seconds of freeze. Ouch.)
Arrow Bombardment – MASTER
Tiger’s Rage – MASTER (NOTE: some old guide wrote that this is not a good skill, due to the time it takes to cast, which is about 4 seconds. ill update this once i get the skill.)
Wrath of PNX – MASTER
Anger Shot – (i still dont know yet, more likely it must be MASTERED)

Shockwave – LEVEL 2 (prerequisite for Sacrifice)
Sacrifice – MASTER (+22% DAMAGE)
Eagle’s Sight – OPTIONAL / MASTER (+18 range if mastered, and pumps the range of all shot skills, however, there might be a need to pump a little int to master this earlier than most players)

Arrow Assault – LEVEL 1 (if youre not getting kawasu) / LEVEL 3 (prerequisite, this is the skill
you need to use frequently, since it’s fast and can be used over and over again)
Kawasu – OPTIONAL / MASTER (needed for evasion, since evasion is a type of defense)

Focus – MASTER (power skills have the highest tendency of missing)
Range Mastery – MASTER (energy value is ALWAYS included in damage com****tion)
Lightspeed – OPTIONAL (MH is better, since range is not a problem)

The Power of “High”-Breed, Pow-Dex Build
This is based on the build of my friend. Makes use of the Evasive Chant. Take note that some skills are sacrificed at low levels. Great for leveling up at higher levels and also good for PK. Some damage points are sacrificed for a defense and evasion.

STATS

Pow – same as above, but DEX must be pumped to the recommended level first.
Dex – around 170. Dex can be pumped by using enhanced equipment and jade rings.
Vit – depends if u want to put it here or not. I suggest u still invest it here.

SKILLS

Force Shot – LEVEL 4 early on, but may mastered at higher levels, if u want to put Bow Mastery
Bow Strike – LEVEL 7 (prerequisite for level 3 Armor Piercing)
Armor Piercing Shot – LEVEL 3 (prerequisite for Enhanced Force Shot)
Bow Mastery – LEVEL 3 early on, but may be mastered at higher levels for damage
Amazon Fury – OPTIONAL, KEEP IT AT LEVEL 1 (shockwave and arrow assault can also be good skill cancellers even at PK)
Enhanced Force Shot – LEVEL 2 (prerequisite for Tiger’s Rage; strongest skill before 107)
Hunter Snare – MASTER (7 seconds of freeze. Ouch.)
Arrow Bombardment – MASTER
Tiger’s Rage – MASTER (NOTE: some old guide wrote that this is not a good skill, due to the time it takes to cast, which is about 4 seconds. as i said earlier, ill update this once i get the skill.)
Wrath of PNX – MASTER
Anger Shot – (as i said, i still dont know yet, more likely it must be MASTERED)

Shockwave – LEVEL 2 (prerequisite for Sacrifice)
Sacrifice – MASTER (+22% DAMAGE)

Arrow Assault – LEVEL 3 (prerequisite for kawasu, could pass as normal attack)
Kawasu – MASTER (needed for evasion, since evasion is a type of defense)
Evasive Chant – MASTER (high level parties need evasion since high level monsters deal strong damage)
Focus – MASTER (power skills have the highest tendency of missing)
Range Mastery – MASTER (energy value is ALWAYS included in damage com****tion)
Lightspeed – OPTIONAL (MH is better, since range is not a problem)

BIG NOTE: Other feasible and good builds can be created from the two builds i mentioned above.

PK tips

1) When using a power archer, be aware of the long skill cooldowns. Use skills if they can really hit (ung lagpas na sa invulnerability paglabas ng portal)
2) Do not charge head on, instead, wait for the correct chance to strike. The power archer is not a solo-mode killer without proper armor.
3) If you cannot kill a running target dahil kulang ka sa damage, make him/her stop or slow down using hunter snare, so that other PKers can catch up.
4) For targets using slow but powerful skills, try cancelling them. Better to fight instead of running but ending up dead dahil lang sa isang one hit shot.
5) Pag may POW UP NA! SUNTUKAN NA TO! SUGOD!~~~ ilabas ang LAKAS! =) pero ingat parin maded sa one hit kill. nde lumalaki life pag pow up. damage lang.
6) POTS power is the best power of them all. amf. =) But, if you cannot defeat somebody. RUN! hehehe… Archers have the fastest base movespeed in the game.
7) Magdasal ka na pag nagmiss! rofl

DUELO tips

5) baps muna bago laban. HAHAHAHA.
TALOOOOO TALOOOO!

==== EDIT ======

In the beginning kailangan mong imaster and spinning kick. This is your bread and butter kc pang mob skill cya. You do not need concentration and agility boost sayang ang skill points. Get sonic kick tulong na rin yon kc lakas din the damage non. dont get power kick yet.

Pagtapos mong magreset ng skills, you have enough skill points to lear ankle crush and upper jab.

===EDIT===

A power brawlers’ mob control skills is dominant at level 87 (agi boost and elevate kick) though spinning kick can be attained at level 27, its only 1 skill but good mob control (hitting over 9 targets when mastered) added with the buff of a power kick skill (attainable at level 77). It seems like a long trek but you have a party when you mob so its best to just hit once with a spinning kick added the buff of a power kick skill. It goes well, trust me. And when you reach 87 and above.. RIDER KICK!!!!

Indeed high level dex brawlers have good defense and evasion but even though they have that, the accuracy rating of a power brawlers weapon minimizes their evasion chance. Also concentration skill can make a power brawler miss less. This skill is good for dueling and PK purposes though if you are up to the roleplaying element of the game, its better not to master this skill. I didn’t place any skill points in concentration and I can still hit them with my kicks in duels(against higher level dex builds,10-20 levels higher than mine… except archers of course, they are evasion queens hehehe!).

Thats right, power brawler’s weapons are really EXPENSIVE!!! Now why is that? based on RAN population, dex brawlers are really the majority so when you buy at the market, expect to see higher priced weapons (with consideration of -RV’ed items but… sometimes thats not the case).

Tip: As of now, I’ve only seen the mastered versions of the skills with their chance of push/pull (also known as cancelation rate):

Level 1-7:
– Heavy Punch (66%) –> WOW!!!
– Side Kick (58%)

Level 27:
– Spinning Kick (18%)

Level 47:
– Chain Kick (10%)

Level 67:
– Sonic Slash (10%)

And now maybe you’re wondering why I mastered the skills? Just to see their pull/push chance of success. And the highest there is Heavy Punch (66% chance of pull/push WOW!!! dex types are really good at cancelling) and Side Kick (58% chance pull/push).

So in dueling, you want to cancel attacks of opponents right? And if you’re still at lower levels, use the highest push/pull chance skills AND.. take note AND the skills with the fastest execution frame.

———————————————-combo here—————————————————————–

Preferred combo for a power brawler (lower level 67 less): THIS IS A THREE SKILL STRING COMBO to be repeated simultaneously if the opponent is still alive.

By the way this is a tip and may not work always based on the circumstance, but its best to try it:

1) Side Kick / Sonic Slash – Side kick for cancelation, Sonic Slash if you think the HP of your opponent can be dealt with one shot kick. OR use Heavy Punch if you’re POW – DEX type.

2) Chain Kick – Good follow up after Side Kick or Sonic Slash. IF and only IF you see the animation rate of your opponent attacking you with a skill (happens when you have electricity/lightning type of weapons OR you really have good eyes hehehe!) use Side kick OR Sonic Slash either skill which you have’nt used yet (remember there is a cooldown time for skills). Also why chain kick? this is best to add chances of successfully landing an elemental attack (to either slow or damage the opponent more).

3) Then you can use a normal attack (no skills) OR if your Side kick has cooled down, use it.

Now whats number four? You think this was a three hit skill?

4) Spinning kick – This is suicidal, very slow execution time but you can use this as an optional combo finisher. If the opponent has low HP and is slowed (elec or ice) use this skill. Not only does it show a cool animation frame (RIDER KICK!!!) it also good for style points hehehehe!

Remember this combo does not always succeed however chances of success based from my playing level with opponents higher (77-90) than me when I was level 67, the combo worked almost 50% of the time hehehe!

AND TAKE NOTE THIS IS FOR DUELLING PURPOSES! Haven’t tried on PK hehehehe!

By the way for higher level power brawlers out there, please place your combos on this thread. Or other suggestions please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Though I think a starter for their combo is either agility boost or makaze kick. based on my observation… please correct or clarify.

Thanks RAN community.

Boss Information / Strategy

==========================================

Darkswordsman Jr.

HP: ???
Location: MP Campus/Hole, PHNX Campus/Hole, SG Campus
Skills: X-Strike, Dual Slash, Kick Slash, Jumping Slash
Respawn Time: Around 1hr Real Time

Strategy:

Simple one really. Just have a HP of about 400 and your good to go. He’s really slow on attacking so his skills
tend to get cancelled easily.

Ethreal Fist

HP: ???
Location: MP Hole, PHNX Hole, SG Hole
Skills:
Respawn Time: Around 2hrs Real Time

Strategy:

One strategy is to have an HP of above 800+ because if he hits critical he dishes out that amount of dmg,
you wouldn’t want to get kill by 1 hit do you? S

o hunt him if ur HP is above that mark for the tanker of course.
A must for hunting this boss is to preferably have an electric based weapon, doesn’t matter if it’s weaker than
the one your using as long as it’s electric. It grealty slows him down, which makes you use less pots.

Darkswordsman

HP: ???
Location: SG Hole Only
Skills: Crit Slash, Hurricane Slash, Jumping Slash
Respawn Time: Around 2hrs Real Time

Strategy:

Hp of 750+ is recommended if your going to tank him. Same as the EF tactic use elecs and just watch out for that crit slash.

Here’s a party based strategy for hunting him early on, You must be at the SG ring for this to work or bring him there.
Have one character hit him and let him follow, now circle around the pavilion in the middle of the SG ring.
If he switches targets, just run around and so on.
He’ll go down in a few hits. This is very possible at Lvl 47. So hunt early.

Ninja Knife

HP: ???
Location: SG Hole Only
Skills: Lightning Slash, Explosive Strike, Sunken Strike
Respawn Time: Around 2hrs Real Time

Strategy:

Just have an HP at around 800+ He’s quick to dish out skills so watch out.
One thing to watch out is after he hits you with numerous strikes using Lightning Slash, he’ll follow it up with Sunken Strike.
So pots ahead when he hits you with lightning strike, Same as always use an Electric element weapon to slow him down.
He’s much harder to bring down than EF and Ds maybe because he’s a dex based boss I guess.

Cruel Jupiter

HP: ???
Location: Practice Yard
Skills: Engulf, Chi Finger Blast
Respawn Time: 6hrs Real Time

Strategy:

I’d recommend a party of 4-5 Members. No electric/ice elements this time, because it’ll destroy the Luring Pattern.

The most important part is using only Int Skills! So that CJ will not switch his target. Oh btw shockwave is the only int based attack that will make him change targets.

The best strategy to go by is having one person circle about while other members pelt him with int attacks.
Yes that’s all there is to it. You could start hunting him with a party of lvl 47 characters it’ll just take longer.

Now for the lurer here’s the trick for keeping him off your tail.
Do you see those Circle Stone Slabs on the ground?
Use those four circles as points. That’s the radius that you must be encircling to not get hit.
Do not run around in a big circle because CJ tends to catch up if he is not turning.
Hence that’s why the radius should be small.

The dificulty is keeping those noobs away, for one they wouldn’t know that int skills are the only skills that should be used, and you can’t PK them so that’s a bother. Have Fun.

He drops around 200k per kill, see he’s the easiest boss to find, kill, rewarding if you do it right. ^__^

Oblivion Potion FAQ

Oblivion Potion FAQ

  1. What is an oblivion potion?
Oblivion potion is a consumable item that allows the resetting of stats and/or skills thus allowing the player to redistribute the stat and skill points.
  1. What are the types of oblivion potion?
There are 4 types of oblivion potion. These are Oblivion Potion A, B, C, and D.
  1. How does each one differ from each other?
Oblivion Potion A only resets all skill points. Oblivion Potion B resets 30 stat points plus all skill points. Oblivion Potion C resets 60 stat points plus all skill points. Oblivion Potion D resets 90 stat points plus all skill points.
  1. How do I use an oblivion potion?
Oblivion potion is like a normal potion, you just need to right click the potion and it will do the rest.
  1. How many skill points does the oblivion potion reset?
Oblivion potion A and B will reset all skills back to level 1 thus allowing the player to redistribute the skill points
  1. How does the oblivion potion reset my skills?
Upon using the oblivion potion, all skills will disappear. You have to learn the skills again. The skills will turn into spirtual sphere which you can exchange to your respective trainers for skills scrolls. Be sure you have enough inventory space to accomodate the spiritual spheres or else you won’t be able to use the oblivion potion
  1. How many stat points does the oblivion potion reset?
Oblivion Potion A does not reset any stat points. Oblivion Potion B will reset 30 stat points. Oblivion Potion C will reset 60 stat points. Oblivion Potion D will reset 90 stat points.
  1. How does the oblivion potion reset my skills?
I will use Oblivion potion B as an example. Oblivion potions will only reset the added points per stat not the base stat value. Oblivion potion B can only reset 30 stat points. Stat point reset is done equally on all stats. There are 5 stats. An average of 6 points for each stat will be removed and be made available for redistribution (5 stats x 6pts = 30 stat pts). If a stat has less than 6 points, the remaining is subtracted from the other skills with stat that are more than 6
Ex.
Before Oblivion Potion After Oblivion Potion
Pow 10 (+5) Pow 10
Dex 10 (+5) Dex 10
Spi 10 (+5) Spi 10
Vit 10 (+20) Vit 10 (+10)
Stm 10 (+5) Stm 10
Pow is only 5 pts, all 5 pts will be removed. Since 6 is required for each stat, the remaining will be deducted from the stat with the most stat points. Since the other stats have only 5 points with the exception of Vit (20). All stats with 5 points will be removed and the remaining will be deducted from Vit. Vit will become +10 after the stat reset ((20 ? 6) ? 4) = 10. All in all, 30 stat points should be made available for redistribution.
Before Oblivion Potion After Oblivion Potion
Pow 10 (+7) Pow 10 (+1) or 0
Dex 10 (+6) Dex 10
Spi 10 (+20) Spi 10 (+14) or +13
Vit 10 (+20) Vit 10 (+14) or +13
Stm 10(+5) Stm 10
Initially 6 will be deducted from each stat. Since Stm is only 5 we have 1 pt remaining. That 1 pt can go to pow or spi or vit. Since that have more than 6 pts.
Before Oblivion Potion After Oblivion Potion
Pow 10 Pow 10
Dex 10 (+20) Dex 10 (+5)
Spi 10 (+300) Spi 10 (+285)
Vit 10 Vit 10
Stm 10 Stm 10
Since there are only 2 stats with plus points. 15 points will be deducted to dex and spi.
(30 / no of stats with plus points) = deduction per stat. After using the potion dex will only be (20- 15= 5) and spi will be (300 -15 = 285)
  1. Can I choose what stat it resets and how many points?
No, The game does the resetting for you, there is no user intervention when resetting the skill.
  1. Do I need to purchase or buy scrolls after I reset my skills?
If the scrolls used were exchanged for spiritual spheres (acquired from quests), NO. You will get spiritual spheres right after you reset your skills to exchange them again for new skill scrolls.
If the scrolls used were bought from NPC, YES. You need to buy again new scrolls.

DEX BRAWLER basic build [until 107]

Filed under: RAN Online — melfabro @ 3:25 am

Dex Brawler Basic Build Until 107

Dex brawlers have been known as the one’s that you never do 1 on 1’s with. They possess skills that specialize in eliminating adversaries one by one by utilizing their skills that execute at a very fast rate and their delay is almost unnoticeable. Speed is the forte of this class but this comes at a price. We [I address as such because i am also a dex brawler] are the one class that deals the lowest damage output per hit when compared to all the other classes. But don’t let this be a bother because we are primarily used in a party as “lurers” and “tanks” so we are quite important in our party because what’s the use of having so many killers if they cant find something to kill? Anyways, enough with the chit-chat and let’s get down to business.

 Disadvantages of a dex brawler:

1.       tibag ng dex archer [ due to low accuracy ]

2.       low damage [ average damage of skills on monsters = 900 ]

3.       average hp [ swordsmen has higher hp ]

4.       Low MP [150 mp pots per hour!]

5.       expensive weapons [ a good weapon costs a million or so ]

6.       no mob skills until level 67 [ tokkan punch only hits 2 targets ]

7.       has a hard time dealing with many enemies in pk [ dex brawler skills are made to kill one person at a time ]

 Advantages:

1.       High defense [ rivaled only by an int swordsman ]

2.       high evasion [ rivaled only by a dex archer ]

3.       high stamina [ I dun need sp pots anymore when i solo ]

4.       IMHO the best 1 v 1 character [ try dueling with a mastered deadly seven ^^ ]

5.       very fast delay when using skills [ you can use all your skills and make it look like a 1 skill only due to its speed ]

6.       has the greatest[IMO] cancel skill in ran = deadly seven [ 0.3 second delay per hit, 56% chance to faint, which stops movement ]

7.       great character in later levels [ 97+ ]

8.       fast cool down of skills [ average cool down of skills from heavy punch to deadly seven = 5 seconds ]

Now that you know what are the pros and cons of Dex type, i assume that you noticed that this class is not for those who want to deal massive damage against the enemy but rather this is for people who want their characters as the “ultimate defensive” characters [wow, i said ultimate]. Why so? We aren’t necessarily mob killers due to our very low damage output but we compensate that for a very high defense and a very high evasion [provided that you use dynamic armors instead of enhanced ones]. We are considered the best lurers in RAN because we can easily negate damage from mobs and even if they do damage, they wont necessarily hit as often as the other classes[except for a dex archer].

Skills

 a.       Heavy punch – basically your defense against pk [66% chance to cancel when mastered]. This will be your bread and butter along with tokkan punch in the early levels [ does 200 – 500 damage early on ]

b.       tokkan punch – one of the lesser skills, but good early game as it is your first mob skill [ which hits only 2 targets -_-” but can reach 1000 damage when buffed ]

c.       Mirage – does wonders when used with an electric weapon. It’s the first skill that hits in multiple succession[ three times ]

d.       Kick punch – first “real” mob skill, useful because of your limited mob skills. This skill will be important in your mid levels when you really need a mob skill to eliminate mobs.

e.       Crit punch – a great mob skill, but has a slow cast time [ your first skill that can actually deal over 1000 damage ]. This skill can be a “one-shot” skill in pk due to its concentrated damage.

f.         Shintendouchi – a great mob skill with an average cool down has a 30% chance to burn and cancel [can reach 2700 damage when berserked and powered up]. Declare yourself a mob killer when you get this. LOL

g.       Deadly seven – a very essential skill for a dex brawler especially in pk, has a 56% chance to faint [stunning movement and quite better than cancel]. When used with powerup, berserk, and bloodlust, it can deal over 4000 damage when totaled.  Can deal over 1000 damage in pk when used with similar buffs. This skill will be the thing that can make you indestructible in pk, it hits seven times, its makes enemies faint, what’s not to love? =)

h.       Force Punch – a powerful skill that hits 9 targets when mastered and has a relatively fast cool down, which makes it another great skill to master. Currently it is the only dex brawler skill that can deal over 2000 damage without buffs [my F. Punch does 2100+]. When powered up, berserked, and added with bloodlust, it can deal for about 1100 – 1300 damage in PK [yes, it will be a one shot skill] or if you are a hybrid [with power kick], it can deal for about 1500++.

i.         Dance of the Warrior – I saw this skill and i was disappointed. It has 5 hits and for about 130-200 damage each in pk, I can’t say it can be a killer skill. But IMHO this is the most impressive visual skill I ever saw, better than the dance of death. It deals about 400-600 damage on mobs and hits 9 targets.

What’s hot and what’s not.  What skills to master:

1.       heavy punch – level 4 is enough, as it has a 50% chance to cancel and you only need to meet the requirements

2.       tokkan punch – just get it to level 4 so you can attain the necessary requirements for the next skill

3.       Mirage – just get it to level 3 because you will almost never use it later in the game.

4.       kick punch – if you are a slow leveler I suggest mastering this one [has a 4 second cool down when mastered]

5.       crit punch – same description with kick punch

6.       shintendouchi – master this because you will be basically use this skill until you are level 200 ]

7.       deadly seven/sensrethshuken – if you like pk master this one[if you are 117 try using the skill points to force punch instead

8.       fist mastery – master this one, as it increases your damage by 50 when mastered [attainable by level 100]

9.       Evasive dance – a must. this will be your bread and butter as dex brawlers rely on their brute defense and evasion to survive

10.   Evasion – just like evasive dance, this skill increases your defense and evasion by percentage, which is good.

11.   Weapon mastery – a no no as of the moment. it only increases 10 damage when mastered, and IMO a waste of valuable skill points

12.   Light speed – if you are a fast leveler, I suggest you level this up too.

13.   Dance of the Warrior – no idea yet. I haven’t got it yet

14.   Force Punch – a must [don’t master deadly seven if you already have this one]. But this skill requires good timing because it only hits the line in which you have used your skill.

What you armors should you take?

Basically dex brawlers should own armors that are “dynamic”[preferably with a high RV] because they increase evasion, which helps you a lot. In my opinion, when you don’t have enough cash, don’t invest on upgrading your weapon because that would only have a little effect on how much damage you can deal. Instead, upgrade your armors to at least +4[or if you feel lucky, try +5] because once you’re defense reaches 200+, you can be an effective lurer and a great tank because it mixes up with your evasion, which rocks.

Which accessories should you take?

For rings, I really suggest getting the level 120 jade rings or the level 80 as it adds dex which helps quite a lot. If you are a defensive type try acquiring shen mo rings, they add 5hp and 5 defense and costs around 600-750k at the strife server. For rosaries, x2 rosaries, if you don’t use those, try using…errr…. give me advice on this please, I don’t know much about the other rosaries. As for earring, aluminum earrings would be nice.

Where to level?

1 – 30:

Inside the Campus would be a starting point, then try to work your way up to level 30 before even attempting to go out [ blood drinkers hurt! ]

31 – 62:

MP, SG, and PHX hole are ok places to level up, provided that you take caution when leveling in server 0 as intermittent invaders come and go [ including us 😀 ]

63 – 73:

Leonine Campus, at the mummy and tomb raider areas by the stairs, but be sure to come early, as this spot is a “hot spot”, which means it is in demand and therefore, competition arises.

74 – 90:

Inside the leonine campus. 1st floor is good if you your parties’ level is relatively low [74-80]. B1 is good if you have a good defense rate [ oh, dex brawlers have good defenses, i forgot -_- ]. B2 is good if you know the leveling points. Carpark area is a good place to level also, because it has a lot of MOBS.

90 – 117:

Wharf! a great place to level even if you are 130+, but leveling spots are hard to come by at this area, and at server 0, it looks like a war zone with MP and SG fighting for dominance [ SG RULEZZ ]

117 – 119:

Hangout 1st floor, not a lot of mobs, but has good exp

120-124:

Hangout 2nd floor. Beware of the ninjas[M], they hurt a lot, even with 300+ def, they hit for 100+ damage >.<

125+++:

Hangout 3rd floor. This area is currently the best place to lvl, although it is only accessible by lvl 125
